Dear all, There is one NetApp AFF-A250 storage which contain 2 nodes. There are 8 hard-disks among the 2 nodes, with each node containing 4 hard-disks. The software version of NetApp AFF-A250 storage = NetApp Release 9.12.1 P2 The NetApp AFF-A250 storage will be physically relocated from one location to another location. Would it be advisable to remove the eight hard-disks from the NetApp AFF-A250 storage system to reduce its weight during the physical relocation of the NetApp storage ? Then, we can add the 8 hard-disks into the NetApp AFF-A250 storage after physical relocation. Thanks very much !

Hi, I've been asked to upgrade a metrocluster compose of 2 AFF400 NetApp, and 2 NX9336C-FX2 switches. The AFF400 has ONTAP version 9.10.1P2, and we are planning to upgrade to 9.14.1P10, but when run the pre-check, it complaints with the message "Unsupported MetroCluster IP Switch Firmware 10.1(2) for switch model N9K-C9336C-FX2 in Target Release 9.14.1P10." In the upgrade document, I'm advise that first I have to upgrade the switches firmware, and to perform the switch upgrade I need to generate a new RCF file and upload it, as the new switch version requests it. I need advice about generating the new RFC file and configure the switch with this new RFC. I'd downloaded the RFC file generator, and have the RFC file generate, but I see the actual switch configuration and the new one are a little bit different. How could I merge the new and old information to be use in the switch? Regards,
