SMMOSS agent for query server

There is no description about backup method and SMMOSS agent for query server in manual.
I would like to know SMMOSS can backup data on dedicated query server or not.

SMMOSS does not backup the Query Server. It backs up the Index Server which takes care of backing up the SharePoint Search Indexes.
