Integration with S3

Hello Gents,

    I want to understand the possibility to have users saving via NFS on Altavault, connecting with S3 and also applications on the AWS cloud saving on the S3 and able to see on NFS. Is it possible?

Hi,

AltaVault receives data via the front end ingest interfaces, and sends storage optimized data (deduplicated, compressed, encrypted) to S3. This data in S3 cannot be read out by any other source (such as a cloud application) other than AltaVault to be reconstructed into the original files.

Might be possible with StorageGRID + the file services gateway, though I'm not sure how that would work with AWS S3.

Alternatively, Cloud Sync will move data between NFS and S3.
