Using AltaVault and StorageGRID to Replace Tape Backups

Hi,

We are planning to use AltaVault + StorageGrid appliance for backup too. I have read that there is a minimum requirement of 3 storage nodes per site. Can we deploy 3 storage nodes in one single appliance (SG5660)?

Regards, Rafael.

Hi,

No, each appliance is one Storage Node. If you want to have more than one Storage Node on a system, you can create multiple Storage Node VMs using non-appliances storage like vanilla E-Series.

Christopher
