NDMP Restore on Ontap 8.1 with Arcserve R16

Hi,

after updating our FAS 3040C to Ontap 8.1 I'm not able to do a restore on this FAS anymore.I get the following error message in the Arcserve job log:

AE0407 NAS Server Error - NDMP_DATA_HALT_INTERNAL_ERROR.

Restores on older version of Ontap (7.33 & 8.0) are successful.

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with 8.1.1 and Arcserve R16 SP1.

I figured it out. When restoring do no select the entire volume drill down and just select all the folders off the base and it then it restored for me.

It works half right for me: your way is fine on CIFS but I'm not able to restore LUNs .

Where is your lun located? In a Volume or Qtree?

I had the same Problem and  found  this and now it works fine.

1) Restore fails with error AE0407 for all Filer2Server sessions located on tape sequences higher than sequence 1 >> Technical support test fix T146582 being validated

2) Restore fails on ONTAP 8.1.1 >> T146581 being validated

Sorry for ask this here, but what yours rate in NDMP backups to ArcServer R16 ?

Here, I don´t get more than 50MB/Minute in my Backups.
