I would like to know is it possible to view how many times a CIFS share has been accessed? My assiingment would like to know some analytics to every share on their netapp device.
There is no counter for such a task. You can see online user sessions to files with MMC, once you connect it. If you need such a functionality, you need to write a custom script, probably using NetApp powershell module.
