Performance penalty for using access enumeration

Does anyone know if there is a performance penalty for enabling access base enumeration on a share?

Hi Maico,

     I currently use ABE in a small environment ~500, and have used it in environments with thousands of users hitting a single share with ABE enabled.  There has been no noticeable impact on the filer in either environment, and switching it on for existing shares has never elicited a call from the customers.
