Hello,
a customer is not able to use his macs to access in SMB2 cDOT environnement where widelinks are implemented. It's because of a lack of compatibility.
I was wondering if using a Windows server between the mac and the cDOT widelinks could work :
- the windows server would play the role of DFS
- the windows server would route all incoming connection initiated by the macs for reaching a shared file tree (widelinks implemented on the cDOT)
- the windows server would enable the SMB2 traffic because it's compliant
I'm sure it's not so easy to put in place because of a lot of parameters to take into consideration.
Is that be already tested and implemented ? Is there any pointers to this configuration setup ?
Many thanks,
Joel
