Network and Storage Protocols
Hi,
We are getting the below error message on our SAN controller repeatedly. What may be the root cause for this error and how to rectify the same?
Error message for your reference: arp: Failed. Host is not on a directly attached subnet.
SAYJAY,
If you run storage show acp are any of your modules inactive? i.e.:
1c.06.B 000 255.255.255.2 01.20 IOM3 inactive (initializing)

Hello Vijay,
My issue was caused by bad cabling. Have you checked if yours is all good? ACP cabling is sometimes confusing when dealing with several disk shelf stacks.
After correcting the cables I run through the acp configuration wizard and everything was ok.
Kind regards,
Pedro.
