moving volume from encrypted to non encrypted volume with CIFs server

Hello,

As per our client request we need to move volume from encrypted to non encrypted aggregate, I can do this with the command volume move start using the options: -encrypt-destination false -encrypt-with-aggr-key false.

But since the volume has cifs share, I need to know if this will be disruptive, the volume move will be in the same SVM and if I need to unmount before moving the volume and then mount it after that .

Ontap version : NetApp Release 9.8P7

Thank you in advance

Volume move will be transparent. Unless, you are also doing a LIF migration (which will be disruptive to CIFS sessions, unless they are ca-shares).
