Hi All,

I have a doubt regarding Active Control Path , how it is connected say if i have 2 Disk shelf will it be 2 individual cables coming from filer to disk shelf's or 1 cable comes from filer connects to disk shelf from that disk shelf it will be going to another disk shelf ???? . please help me to understand this.

Hi.

If you have a single controller FAS , it's a kind of cascade ending with the last shelf.

If you have a dual controller FAS , it's also a kind of loop-cascade but the last shelf will be connected to the second controller acp port

Ctrl1 1 --> shelf1 --> shelf2   --> ctrl2.
