About connection between disk shelf and controller

Could you please advice me about following.
I have FAS2750 and two disk shelves(DS224C), but I don't know which one to connect to the a0 port on the controller.
Is it possible to connect with either of the two?
Or is there a rule to specify either one?

Thanks

Thank you for the informative answer.
As an additional question, I don't know which of the two disk shelves should be connected to the controller first.
Can I choose any shelf without worrying about it?

Thanks

Which shelf doesn't really matter. I would key off where you physically installed the products.

First, make sure the controller and shelves all have unique shelf IDs (you can set them from the front "OPS" panel).  I'd recommend 00 = controller, 01, 02  going down the stack, for example.
