Direct conntction to Netapp FAS 8300

Dear All,

we have 3 x HP DL 380 GEN 10. is it possible to connect  Netapp FAS 8300  to HP DL 380 GEN 10 ( With Out SAN Switch)

Does not look like it's supported anymore.

"You cannot directly attach FC or FC-NVMe SAN hosts to HA pairs without using a switch." - page 13 

"You cannot directly attach FC or FC-NMVE SAN hosts to single nodes without using an FC switch." - page 11

Correct. Was possible in 7-mode but the functionality needed in FCP is not supported with CDOT and always has been that way. A switch is required.

 

However, if you want, as mentioned iSCSI works perfectly fine as it will be a layer 2 network anyway. Chances are, you already have it networked either way.
