our customer wants to upgrade the old systems to the new one by upgrading the controllers. My question is, if is it possible and how to order, maybe an upgrade kit. thanks

NetApp is heavily relying on partners to do sales and maintenance (although also have its own sales teams) I think the golden path is for you to either become a NetApp partner or contact one (perhaps the one the customer worked with before).

The ONTAP system firmware of the device can be upgraded to other versions, but the model cannot be directly upgraded. The internal configuration parameters of each model of device are different. If you have any requirements, please contact the corresponding manufacturer of Netapp for consultation.
