FAS2750 Test Setup

Hi

I have a FAS2750 (Unified Configuration), a DS224C Shelf and a Dell Server with 4 10G SFPs and a SAS Card. And all the Cables.

I need to Set this Up just for testing purposes.

Can anyone help me?

I connected it all together like described here (Switchless Cluster):

Do I need the "Data Network Switch"? I have none...

How do I connect this to the Dell Server? Can I connect it per SAS Cable?

You can go direct from FAS to Host(s) using iSCSI.

Each host would get connected into each controller.   You can have a max of 4 hosts connected without a switch.

Hi,Neoranov ,

You cannot directly connect to the DELL server using SAS cables. You can use the ISCSI protocol to access FAS storage, or use the FCP protocol to access FAS storage. You need to authorize the corresponding license in the ONTAP system, configure it, and then mount it through the server.
