FC port did not complete initialization

Hello,

one of the FC ports (which is CNA) on our FAS that is not used (no cable/no link) has probably not finished initialization. Its status in sysconfig -a says "INITIALIZING FIRMWARE".  Can it be the reason for some alerts in the EMS logs saying that this port was disabled because of the errors recived on this port?

Can we reset this port to resolve this issue?

It would be helpful to know what ONTAP version/mode, FAS model, and HBA/port we're referring to, here.
