Hi Everyone,

As we know, vmware has vSAN stretched cluster function to build a dual active data center architecture.

Howerver, customer would like to build stretched cluster without vSAN.

Is it possible to implement vmware stretched cluster through MCCP or SM-BC?

Thank you all.

Albert

Short answer is: yes

Longer answer is that configuring a multi-site VMWare cluster and MetroCluster is not a simple task by any measure. Please review this document from VMWare on the architecture required - https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2031038 and a read of this tech report on the topic -https://www.netapp.com/media/13480-tr4705.pdf
