Metrocluster - Convert to hybrid aggregate

Hello,

We are planning a customer migration to a metrocluster solution. We will initially install the metrocluster with SAS disks and put it in production. Later on we will add SSD shelves and the idea is to convert the mirrored aggregates to flash pool.

Is it possible? I didn´t find any documentation about it.

Thanks!

yes, you can just to that like on any other aggregate outside of a MetroCluster also.

FlashPool is supported in MetroCluster: see https://www.netapp.com/us/media/tr-4375.pdf 4.12

NetApp Flash Pool caching is supported in MetroCluster configurations. Each Flash Pool aggregate must contain an identical plex on each site. (if it is a mirrored aggregate).

It's supported, but can you grow into it / configure it later.

That´s the information I was looking for. Can I convert a productive/mirrored SAS aggregate to flashpool?
