SMB for MAC OSX

Is anyone else having major issues with Mac OS X 10.9.x via SMB2 CIFS...?

Finder is a major drag with upwards of 30 - 50 seconds to load the content.

DOT Version is 8.2.1 7 Mode.

Hi,

Please upgrade to 8.2.4, because there are many issues fixed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

What issues were fixed? Any Documentation around it?

Hello,

For example following issues were fixed in 8.2.3x:

- client fails to open/save word document via SMB3 / ID 863246

- widelink access via SMB / ID 642665

- some performance issues

Did you upgrade and try the test again ?

Best regards

OS X behaves differently when you open the connection with cifs:// or smb://

try both and use the one which is working better for you.

That's right, but be careful if you use cifs instead of smb in finder.

CIFS:// makes only a SMB1 connection to the share and SMB:// negotiate the right (maximum) version if the client has no configuration entry with a forced version.

The usable SMB version can also be configured on the vServer (SVM) in cDOT.
