Hi all, we are migrating a DS14 fc shelf from a FAS920 cluster to a FAS3040 cluster. We want to connect this shelf to an existing loop with a DS14MK2 so we need to connect the shelves to each other usign a gbic copper cable. We have some of that gbic cables with PN 112-00049, are these cables suitable for this connection?
Regards.
Eduardo
What are the ESH modules in the DS14 shelf? ESH2 or ESH4? And all they have is a blank square hole right?
Hi and thank you for your answer. I was wrong, both shelves are DS14MK2 but one of them has an ESH interface, the one we want to move, and the other one has an ESH2 interface.
Regads.

Which interface is on the older shelf?
Hi Spence, thank you for your answer. I have finally found the solution to this issue. I have to use a SFP to HSSDC2 cable, which is part number 112-00082. So, if it helps:
ESH module to ESH module - PN 112-00049 HSSDC2 connector to HSSDC2 connector
ESH module to ESH2 module - PN 112-00082 HSSDC2 connector to SFP connector
ESH4 module to ESH4 module - PN 112-00084 SFP connector to SFP connector
Thank you so much for all your answers.
Eduardo
You don't mention which release on ONTAP you are using but remember that ESH(1) modules are not supported in ONTAP version 7.3 and newer.

I've had mixed ESH/ESH2 loops in the past with no issue. Here is a good page of info on mixed loops;
