VIF with one interface?

Can I create a VIF with only one interface?

This VIF with be one of two VIFs contained in a second-level VIF configuration. Each of the VIFS will contain one port at the moment I'm intending on adding more ports at a later stage.

A vif with one interface is no problem. Than you can add, when you want,  very easy a second interface.
