I have a FAS2552 which came back from a temporary overseas site about 6 months ago. The config should have been wiped before it shipped, but it wasn't who did it.
It's racked and has been powered on since, but doesn't seem to be getting a IP for SP via DHCP as I'd expect. Worse still when I connect to serial ports using a known good RJ45 to serial cable etc. I get no output, even on power-up.
Is there a procedure for completely resetting, like clearing the CMOS on a PC?

Hello, I have 2 FAS2554 systems which is end of life, actually upgraded to ONTAP 9.7P8. Does they support the latest versions of ONTAP? Will I be able to upgrade? Thank you very much! Bye

Hi Guys, Does anyone tested 10GB SFP+ RJ45 (10GBase-T) transceivers on FAS/AFF machines - on board or mezzanine ports? I found a PN from CISCO (PN: SFP-10G-T-X ) that might work, but not in HWU. I know that NetApp is offering Twinax/DAC cables from CISCO, and I am thinking that these transceivers would work nicely on NetApp machines. Hello I have a device that belongs to ONTAP 8.2.5. I can't activate my existing licenses after a device reset. The source of my problem is that I have a 7-character license. But my device's version supports it based on 28 characters. My current licenses are due to the fact that they are compatible with the old version. Error alert I'm encountering hostname> license add XXXXXXX license add: invalid license key "XXXXXXX", license keys must be 28 or 42 letters in length. I get a warning in the form of. Does anyone have the 8.0 / 8.1. 7-Mode firmware file for Netapp FAS-2240? If you have it, can you share it with me. Thank you very much in advance for your support and suggestions.

Hi all, A customer has an AF200 system wich is near of end of support and we are evaluating if we can maintain this system by ourselves. The most complicated situation I see is if one of the controllers fails and we have to replace it. As I know without support we can't generate replacement licenses if we buy a refurbished controller but what about if that controller comes with its licenses, ¿It could work? Thanks in advance
