After update software to ontap9, and restore config to default, I have this problem. Before I can configure FAS2552 with Node Setup, configure IP and use Windows System Setup. like this example Welcome to node setup. You can enter the following commands at any time: "help" or "?" - if you want to have a question clarified, "back" - if you want to change previously answered questions, and "exit" or "quit" - if you want to quit the setup wizard. Any changes you made before quitting will be saved. To accept a default or omit a question, do not enter a value. This system will send event messages and weekly reports to NetApp Technical Support. To disable this feature, enter "autosupport modify -support disable" within 24 hours. Enabling AutoSupport can significantly speed problem determination and resolution should a problem occur on your system. For further information on AutoSupport, see: http://support.netapp.com/autosupport/ Type yes to confirm and continue {yes}: yes Enter the node management interface port [e0c]: e0M Enter the node management interface IP address: 172.16.254.100 Enter the node management interface netmask: 255.255.255.0 Enter the node management interface default gateway: 172.16.254.1 A node management interface on port e0M with IP address 172.16.254.100 has been created. This node has its management address assigned and is ready for cluster setup. To complete cluster setup after all nodes are ready, download and run the System Setup utility from the NetApp Support Site and use it to discover the configured nodes. For System Setup, this node's management address is: 172.16.254.100. Alternatively, you can use the "cluster setup" command to configure the cluster. Now I cant use this method. Hi I found a TR-4859 relating IBM Spectrum Scale with E-series. I'm wondering if I can virtualize an ONTAP storage as well, my doubt is about random latency with E-series because customer would like to use the storage through Spectrum Scale to have NAS and S3 workloads. My customer has an IBM infrasctructure and we must use such solution. I did not find anything on IMT and IBM site about compatibility. Many thanks Luca

Greeting, everyone.
Starting with FAS2600 and FAS8200, the controllers come with 2 builtin 10GbE network ports for cluster interconnections. The ports are generally identified as e0a and e0b. In certain situation, if the controller node is to be configured as an intended single-node cluster, or different combination of ports is chosen for cluster interconnections, could the rest of e0a and e0b be used to host data LIFs for NFS connections for instance?
In contrast, it is not allowed for the c0a and c0b on the FAS3200 and FAS6200 to be converted for data usage in the old days.
Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Hello, everyone. I am curious about the differences between the commands "bye", "bye -g", and "boot_ontap" in the LOADER state. For example, after replacing an NVDIMM on an AFF-A700s, we execute boot_ontap, but after replacing an NVDIMM on an AFF-A700, we use bye. I would like to understand the reason behind this difference. Additionally, I would appreciate your advice on the differences between bye and bye -g. Finally, a 1TB disk is installed in the Flash Cache Card Slot on the AFF-A700. However, it is identified as a core dump device rather than serving as a Flash Cache. Is the disk installed in this slot used exclusively for core dump purposes? ::> sysconfig -a output slot 6-1: NVMe Coredump Device Additional Info: 0X917011900207B0SAM00PM17330001T00015000 Serial Number: S5MTNA0T300108 Firmware Version: NA00 Capacity: 894 GB Sector Size: 512B/sect Thank you! have a good day.
