Hi, When we have a stack with both IOM6 and IOM12 (maintaining one speed transition, as supported), does the paths to both beginning and end of the stack goes 6Gbps? Or it will have one side 12Gbps and the other 6Gbps? Regards, Pedro

Hi, We are upgrading controller hardware by moving storage. Original nodes are FAS2620 with internal SATA drives and new nodes are FAS2720 w/o drives. It's not clear from the official docs if it is possible to move the internal drives from FAS2620 to FAS2720. The documentation says I can move those drive to another disk shelf or convert the original nodes to a shelf. I am following this: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-systems-upgrade/upgrade/upgrade-by-moving-storage-parent.html Do someone know that? Regards, Pedro

Hi all, I'm brand new to Netapp systems. Recently have had to move a cluster composed of 2 FAS3250s, a DS4246 and a DS2246 to a new rack. I've ensured everything was plugged back together as it was best I can. I can SSH into each device individually, but can't log into the web UI. (Verified the user I connected as via SSH had permission for HTTP login but didn't make a difference) Logging in via SSH I get the following system message: "The contents of the root volume may have changed and the local management configuration may be inconsistent and/or the local management databases may be out of sync with the replicated databases. This node is not fully operational. Contact support personnel for the root volume recovery procedures" Can anyone point me in the right direction to start troubleshooting? I see in the KB an article to restore the system via serial connection, but there are licenses on the machine and we'd like to preserve those if at all possible. The actual data on disk doesn't make much difference, though.

Customer has a FAS8300 with a single SSD shelf with 12x960GB SSD drives. They have 2 x DS460C shelves with 10TB SATA drives. They want to use ADP on the SSD drives (root-data-data) and put the root aggregates on there. They do not want to use ADP on the 10TB drives. In this configuration is it possible/supported/recommended to use the P1 and P2 partitions from the SSD drives for flashpool on the 10TB aggregates?
