Hello,
As I am using discussions for the first time, I hope my question will end up in the right part of it.
I'm having some issues with FAS2050 and I wonder if anyone could give me some directions/answers/ideas on what might be the problem. A critical status on my shelf is saying 'ES Electronics' and to be honest, I'm not sure what does it all mean? It's obvious to me that one temperature sensor is dead:
Temperature Sensor installed element list: 1, 2, 3; with error: 3
Shelf temperatures by element:
[1] 17 C (62 F) (ambient) Normal temperature range
[2] 34 C (93 F) Normal temperature range
[3] Unavailable

[2] High critical: 63 C (145 F); high warning 53 C (127 F)
Low critical: 0C (32 F); low warning 10 C (50 F)
[3] High critical: 63 C (145 F); high warning 53 C (127 F)

and here's the full error output if it means anything:

Does anyone has an idea on what is going on? What does 'ES Electronics' stands for? Is it really critical? I can live without one temp sensor, but I wonder if anything else might be malfunctioning or what part I need to order with NetApp? Will full power cycle do the thing here?
Thank you in advance!

I have seen this temp sensor error (with error: 3) gets automatically cleared after some time and all the sensors comes back to normal.
Please scan /etc/message files for any logs related to this. Log a case with NetApp support in case of suspicion.

Hi,
Temperature senrsor 3 is located in your AT-FCX module B (the lower one) And B module is that ES Electronics installed element 2.
If you have a Multi Path HA configuration, maybe you could reseat it, and see if it helps.
Ismo.
