Guess what? We are back with our StorageGRID Ansible modules! The last update was in Feb 2024, and now, a year later, we have just dropped the 21.14.0 update. We are excited to be actively developing these modules again as they have helped so many customers.
Why Ansible?
Because automation makes life easier, and our StorageGRID APIs integrate seamlessly with Ansible.
We are currently focusing on building modules around our many great new features and APIs and addressing the current GitHub Issues.

What is in our February 2025 Update?
We not only tested our existing modules against the latest StorageGRID 11.9 release, but we have also added new modules and made updates to existing ones.
New Modules:
- na_sg_grid_ilm_policy: Manage Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) policies.
- na_sg_grid_ilm_policy_tag: Manage your ILM policy tags to help categorize multiple active ILM policies (multiple active ILM policies requires StorageGRID 11.8)
- na_sg_grid_ilm_rule: Manage your ILM rules and define your data lifecycle.
- na_sg_grid_ilm_pool: Manage your ILM storage pools to organize storage resources efficiently.
- na_sg_grid_ec_profile: Manage Erasure Coding profiles to ensure data redundancy and protection.
Updates to Existing Modules:
- na_sg_grid_info: Now provides load balancer (LB) endpoints and high-availability (HA) group info.
- na_sg_grid_account: New options for tenant-level object lock restrictions (requires StorageGRID 11.9).
- na_sg_grid_group: Added read-only option for grid groups.
- na_sg_org_group: Read-only option now available for tenant groups too.
- na_sg_grid_gateway: Create LB endpoints specific for management traffic (requires StorageGRID 11.8).
