Why a storage‑focused security lens matters

Traditional security tools often overlook risks at the storage layer, leaving organizations vulnerable to misconfigurations and threats. The Active IQ security report addresses this gap by consolidating critical ONTAP security indicators across clusters, Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), and volumes. This enables rapid identification of issues such as:

  • Insecure protocols (e.g., telnet, weak SSH ciphers)
  • Missing or weak encryption
  • Ransomware-related vulnerabilities, like disabled FPolicy

Tailored for key teams

Storage administrators & SecOps teams

Enforce ONTAP best practices, detect misconfigurations, and gain a holistic view of security gaps.

Governance, risk, and compliance teams

Validate adherence to regulatory mandates and generate audit-ready reports.

Support teams & partners

Enhance visibility into customer risk and guide security improvements.

A powerful consumption path

Security report

The security report is a comprehensive, exportable Excel-based tool featuring:

  • Compliance insights at cluster, SVM, and volume levels
  • Security risk analysis with severity, impact and aging metrics
  • Performance indicators such as threat distribution and time to resolution

Users can generate reports on-demand or schedule automated weekly/monthly deliveries, ensuring consistent visibility into their security posture.
