According to the IMT, OSSV 3.0.1 supports Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 SE (64-bit, x64). http://mysupport.netapp.com/matrix Thanks, Kevin

It is very likely to be a different cause then as there parsing that data can break for a few different scenarios. Here is another: OnCommand System Manager fails to load SnapVault schedule http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/cgi-bin/bol?Type=Detail&Display=826278 Steps to collect TRACE logging: 1) Tools -> Options 2) Log Level --> TRACE 3) Save and Close 4) Generate the error/failure condition 5) Set the log level back to INFO 6) Collect a support bundle or that is not possible, the logs from the System Manager installation path.

Thanks for upgrading - that should rule out bug 777312. It is difficult to say what the cause might be without data. I recommend that you collect a TRACE level support bundle while attempting to load the SV schedule in OCSM and then open a support case. Either provide the support bundle to your case owner or attach it to your case. Please post the case # here so that I can ensure it is followed up on. Thanks, Kevin

OCSM 3.1RC1 and lower had issues loading SnapVault schedules but this was fixed in 3.1GA and higher. http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/cgi-bin/bol?Type=Detail&Display=777312 Can you confirm the version you are using? Thanks, Kevin

There is no way to integrate VSC with UM 5.x. The only method to integrate vCenter with UM 5.x is via the OnCommand Host Package, which as mentioned is EOA and will enter limited support for existing users in 2015. Thanks, Kevin

I see now that the first post states OCR. FYI - OCR entered the End of Availability window last month. http://mysupport.netapp.com/info/web/ECMP1110985.html#131209 Thanks, Kevin

Hi, I am not aware of any method to get Unified Manager to push the reports to a network path, however it stores the reports that is creates in the "Reports Archival Directory" directory as seen here: # dfm option list reportsArchiveDir Option Value ----------------- ------------------------------ reportsArchiveDir /opt/NTAPdfm/reports/ You could create and schedule a script to push those reports to any desired path available on the server. Thanks, Kevin

Hi, You should read this bug report: Username field becomes null for each new login session http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/cgi-bin/bol?Type=Detail&Display=592472 Thanks, Kevin

If your intention is to import the relationships into Protection Manager, be sure to avoid creating volume level SnapVaults as UM 5.x does not support those (the path ends with "/" instead of "/-"). You will want to create only Qtree level SnapVaults if you want UM to manage them later. OCSM can create and manage both kinds, but IIRC provides a warning message about the volume relationships not working in UM. Thanks, Kevin

Hi, It looks to be related to bug 663903 and was fixed in 5.2P2 (and thus 5.2R1) to provde a better message - it used to log "Error executing operation on storage system". http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/cgi-bin/bol?Type=Detail&Display=663903 In 5.2P2 and higher the error messaging was improved to provide more insight into what went wrong. If an error is encountered during a backup job when trying to retrieve the preferred interface, a warning message will be logged and the job will continue on the default interface. If there is an impact from this action then setting the dfm option ndmpDataUseAllInterface=1 will tell UM to use any interface so that the warning message will no longer be generated and logged. Thanks, Kevin

Are you desiring to land in the legacy web UI after clicking an event link? If so, that is no longer possible in UM 5.x - the OnCommand Console UI was designed to replace the legacy web UI, although that was never fully implemented so both remain each with their own particular functions.. Thanks, Kevin

I tested an alarm on 5.0.2P1 and the email link was as follows: http://UMFQDN:8080/start.html#st=1&data=(eventID=385213) Clicking this link took me to the login page where after logging in I landed on the "Manage Events" page. This is expected behavior - you must authenticate to be able to manage events.. After logging in and closing the tab, clicking the link again took me directly to the "Manage Events" page bypassing the login screen. Where are you landing after clicking the link and where are you expecting to land? Kevin

Which version of UM are you upgrading to? UM 5.0 would not direct you to the event directly but that was fixed in UM 5.0.1 under bug 537978. Kevin

If no one has opened a support case for this yet then I would like to collect a DEBUG level support bundle after one of these failures. Either send me a PM or post here that you are willing so that we can avoid posting data to the thread. If there is a support case opened already, please post the # instead and we will collect the support bundle under it. Thanks, Kevin

Additionally in case you were not aware, DFM 4.x and previous versions are no longer supported so there will not be any future patches or releases of those versions. EOVS (End of Version Support) policy details: https://mysupport.netapp.com/info/web/ECMP1147223.html Thanks, Kevin

Hi, You can directly navigate to the legacy UI if you wish, but there are particular features and settings that are only accessible in the OnCommand Console UI. Assuming http access then the direct legacy UI URL would be http://UM5SERVERNAMEORIP:8080/dfm/ . Thanks, Kevin

OCSM detects the bitness of the host OS and then requires the same bitness of JRE. Therfore 32 bit JRE was required on your 32 bit host OS while 64 bit JRE is required on your 64 bit OS. Thanks, Kevin

Very good - the cluster_mgmt is 1500 MTU, so if the network and UM server are also set to 1500 then 814072 is not cause of your problem. You should consider opening a support case. Thanks, Kevin

This bug will be to blame for UM 5.x Cluster-Mode monitoring issues when any of the network interfaces between (and including) the UM server to the cluster management LIF have an MTU other than 1500. Thanks, Kevin
