Hi @Scott_G ,

Assuming you are using putty in your laptop, please use the following

Connection type: Serial

Speed: 115200

Serial Line: your laptop COM port

Thank you,

Mulya

Do you have an active support contract with NetApp?

"SSH is not a supported management protocol for E-Series devices. To manage the storage array, there is SANtricity for GUI based management or SMcli for the command line.

For support procedures, occasional Telnet or SSH access is required. However, it is not possible to use Telnet/SSH for day-to-day operations."

Nevertheless, I would try: default all and 115200 or 9600

Thanks for the reply. Yes, 115200 is the baud rate. I was trying to get into the Service level CLI with is a key sequence when you login thru the serial port. I figured out.  Thxs!

Hi Scott_G,

I guess you used a mini-usb to rs232 cable. Can you share the cable part-number?

And how did you get into the Service level CLI?

Thanks.
