Hi @AhmedAl-Batoosh ,

Can you advise:

  1. What protocol do you need (FC/Ethernet)?
  2. What modules are in the AFF-C800?
  3. What modules are in the HPE Synergy

Ethernet connectivity from a HPE Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 Module to AFF-C800 shouldn't be an issue.  Fibre Channel I wouldn't think would be supported for direct connect.

hi chamfer

What protocol do you need (FC/Ethernet)?

-NFS for VMware environment NFS over 40/100GbE)
What modules are in the AFF-C800?

-100GbE / 40GbE Ethernet ports (for data LIFs)

-ONTAP configured for SAN(NFS) /NAS (SMB) protocols

-Redundant controllers for HA available

What modules are in the HPE Synergy

-HPE Virtual Connect SE 40/10Gb

Hi @AhmedAl-Batoosh ,

With NFS over 40Gb Ethernet there should be no issues direct connecting to the HPE VC SE 40/10Gb module.  These are essentially network switches, there are limitations with FC, but it should be no issues.

I would ensure that the AFF is connected via a full mesh where each controller has ports to each HPE VC module.
