Maybe the need, needs to be redefined. Simple answer is don't buy flash if you don't need to. Alternatively if buying SAS is what you have done historically for performance then Flash with SATA is a compelling alternative to get the same or similar outcome. But please define your need first as there is no point in buying someing you don't need.
