aggregate-level inline deduplication

regarding the doc https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/volumes/manage-aggregate-level-deduplication-aff-task.html

My question is: if I have already in place a volume level dedup what happen if I enable aggregate level dedup? Ontap will merge the volumes level metadata into a new common aggregate level metadata or Ontap will have to create a new aggregate level metadata by scannig all blocks of the partecipant volumes?

Aggregation-level inline deduplication only processes volumes with the space guarantee set to none.I hope this link can be of help to you.
