AIQ 9.12 Certificate based Authentication

Hi there,

I installed AIQ 9.12 because the update from 9.10 to this version failed.

The 9.12. offers certificate based authentication instead of passwords.

To add a cluster, AIQ needs admin permission on console, http and ontapi.

We are not using the admin account to add it to AIQ, we are using a dedicated user.

After the cluster is added, it automatically creates certificate based log-in for ontapi and http.

Question: can the initial created logins on console, http and ontapi be deleted?

Hi @MaGr

I took a poke around our docs, kb and internal areas and didn't see anything that would help give a definitive answer on this.

I would suggest you open up a support case so our team can double-check on that one. That way, we can get a KB created (or Docs updated) if necessary to clarify this particular question.
