Hi All,
DFM is not showing the updated Hostname and Ip address. Still showing the OLD hostname.
Please my troubleshooting steps so far.....
DFM host delete old_hostname
DFM host add new_hostname
DFM host add new_ip also didn't work it took the old details
Still showing the OLD hostname
Tried discovering using IP and also hostname = NO Luck
When executed dfm host diag new_hostname got the following o/p
C:\>dfm host diag new_hostname
Network Connectivity
IP Address new_IP
Network None
DNS Aliases new_hostname
DNS Addresses new_IP
SNMP Version in Use SNMPv1
SNMPv1 Passed (344 ms)
SNMP Community public
SNMP sysName new_hostname
SNMP sysObjectID .1.3.6.1.4.1.789.2.1 (Filer)
SNMP productId 0101195587
SNMPv3 Failed: No SNMPv3 username specified.
SNMPv3 Auth Protocol
SNMPv3 Privacy Enabled No
SNMPv3 Username
ICMP Echo Passed (281 ms)
HTTP Passed (297 ms)
Host Agent Connect Failed (transport http; port 4092)
Is there anything to do with "Host Agent Connect Failed (transport http; port 4092)"
Thanks in advance.

If you're alright with not retaining any old data, try shutting down all DFM services except the database and do a 'DFM host delete -f <host name>' IIRC.. Then you can add it back in as you outlined above..

Thanks a lot Arumugam.. It work'd But a small Tips for other's when they try to rename and Change the IP Go with the hostname and then the IP rather than reverse.
Thanks Mike, For your response I would have gone with your suggestion if dfm rename and dfm host didn't work.
Thanks again
