Hi   All,

Can anybody share any comments regarding snmp trap pairing mechanism which really put me on the fire!!!

the question is , for an instance, say customer is using DFM integrated with HP Openview. one snmp trap   "dfmEvtVolumeAlmostFull" posted by DFM and was received by Openview, when this issue get resolved by user intervention, another snmp trap "dfmEvtVolumeSpaceOk" was then posted by DFM again and also received by Openview.  can anyone tell me by which field does 3rd party management software (Openview, TSM etc)  understand these 2 snmp traps are actually related events which need to be handled as a group.

Looking forward to your prompt reply and appreciate any comment on this. Thanks!!!
