Hello,
IHAC has about 50TB NAS data since 2006, they want to know the file usage, such as create time, last access time, etc. Can Insight Report do that? If not, what's the suggested tool?
Thanks,
Jeff Cai

Hi Jeff,
You can check out "File Storage Resource Manager(FSRM)" which I think fits this requirement.
DFM in conjuction with NetApp Host Agent residing on Windows, Linux or Solaris workstations/servers monitors the directories you specified and generates report that provides info like file space usage, last access, type of files(.mp3, .jpeg,etc).
For more details please see in operations manager guide chapter on "What File Storage Resource Management does" and documentation for NetApp Host Agent.
Cheers,

Hi Jeff,
Came to know that FSRM is not longer for sale and goes end of support in August 2012:

You might have to look out for other solution for this requirement.
Thanks,

OnCommand Report does the consolidation of multiple DFM instance and report on its inventory and capacity. As far as I know it does not do any file level stats.
