Hi there,
I met an issue while migrating DFM 4.0 to 5 (OnCommand). Everything is good except that the full event URL was lost. See a sample of alert coming up from OC below,
A Warning event at 18 Nov 11:18 AUS Eastern Daylight Time on Volume vle_prd_equella1 on vFiler NASUB02PNFR.detnsw.win:
Volume Growth Rate Abnormal.
Volume vle_prd_equella1 data space has grown from 438398109 KB to 447844024 KB in last 18.85 minutes. Normal growth rate is 15430.40 KB/hour.

The URL raised from DFM 4.0 is like this

http://UPPSTSMU002.central.det.win:8080/dfm/report/view/volume-details/2432?group=0
What I've done is
1. Backup SQL data for DFM 4.0
2. Import the data into OnCommand 5.0
Any idea to correct is appreciated.

Hi All,
Do we know if the new version of Oncommand 5.1 will fix the above issue, event details will go straight to DFM event and not the Oncommand console?
-Mark
Hi Brian & Mark,
This issue is fixed in 5.0.1 expected by end of this week. You need not wait until 5.1 for this fix.

Hi Adai,
That's excellent news!

Hi Adai,
Can you please confirm where the source of the event points to, DFM or OnCommand?

Hi Mark,
The fix in 5.0.1 will point you to OnCommand Console and not Operations Manager Console.
The link will be as follows.(which is OnCommand Console)
http://UPVSTNMG001.DETNSW.WIN:8080/start.html#st=1&data=(eventID=34063)

Hi Adai,
I've just upgrade to 5.0.1 but the link is still pointing to Oncommand:
An Information event at 27 Apr 13:18 AUS Eastern Standard Time on Mgmt Station UPVSTNMG001:
Alarm Test.
Testing alarm 1
Click below to see the details of this event.

I need the link to DFM not start.html.

Mark
Hi Mark,
This link with the event id should take you to a filtered list on the events page of OnCommand Console and showing only the event in question. Are you saying that this is not happening ? Can you post a screen shot on to what page it take to clicking on the link you posted ?
Regards
adai
Hi Mark,
Is it taking you to OnCommand login page? If so after entering the username and passwd, it will take to the "OnCommand" Events page.
Could you please paste the screen shot?
