How do I renew a DataFabric Manager certification?

Hello,

the Operations Manager shows:

Management Station: Server Certificate About to Expire on servername

Event Management Station: Server Certificate About to Expire

 AboutService certificate expiry status
ConditionThe NetApp DataFabric Manager certificate will expire in 7 days. Please create and reload new certificate soon

How do I do this ?

Will it be made as described in the " Operations Manager Administration Guide" in the "Security configurations" section ==> dfm ssl server setup ? Or is this just for the initial setup?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

The following Kb describes the process of renewing the certificate.

https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=2019993&locale=en_US

Hope this resolves your issue.

Renifa.

Bad link, even after logging in:

"This page is either invalid or not available to the public. Please try logging in with your NetApp Support Site account in order to view the KB. Please retry the search below after logging in."

Either the content is invalid, or special permissions are needed to view it. Either way, the link needs to be removed. If it's not publicly accessible, it shouldn't be posted.

Hi, Sean.  I appreciate the reply. However, I logged into my account, clicked the link you provided, and got the following:

Unauthorized Access to CRM or KB

Netapp Employee / Contractor / Customer: Contact  Support

Partners :  Our login URL has changed. Please use new URL
https://ntap.force.com/ or contact Support

FYI: I'm a NetApp customer, not a partner/reseller/VAR.

it was worth a try.  The new kb system doesn't tell me who has access.

Supposedly, this is the updated link:

https://kb.netapp.com/support/s/article/oncommand-unified-manager-alerts-on-an-expired-certificate

But, since my account doesn't have permissions to view it, I can't confirm. However, these are basically the CLI commands used:

dfm ssl server detail
dfm ssl server setup

dfm ssl service detail
dfm ssl service setup

There are two different certificates used by 5.2R1. Each set of commands above allows one to view/confirm the current status ('detail') and create a new certificate ('setup').

Hello,

"dfm ssl service setup"

After ran this, event disappeared. There is also "dfm ssl server setup". But this does not solve the issue. Its probably another certificate set, like it was mentioned is similar topic on this forum.

Regards

Petr
