There are definitely two different versions of the same product.

OnCommand is the new branding umbrella-term, yet System Manager v2.0 is different from v.1.1. The former offers vast improvement over the latter, as it supports more features (e.g. manages nicely SnapMirror).

I don't think you can install both versions on the same server, but not I am not 100% sure (why would you do that BTW?)

Thanks. I just want to make sure. I am so use to using System Manager 1.1 that if I can keep both then that will be great. We installed System Manager in the DFM server. Can I install System Manager 2.0 in the DFM server?

You actually might be OK with v2.0 & v1.1 on the same box - v2.0 is browser-based, whilst v1.1 is MMC-based (but I am sure you will ditch 1.1 very shortly ).

I also think there should be no issues with running SM 2.0 on DFM server.

You can run SM1.1 and SM2.0 parallely on the same system. Also there should be no issues in running SM2.0 on a DFM server.
