OCUM 6.1RC1 unable to deploy OVA on vSphere 5.0

Hi,

we have a vSphere 5.0 environment and during deployment OVA installer aborts with following message:

Symptom: we are trying to deploy the oVA image in SAP storage environment. we are tried installing "OncommandUnifiedManager.6.1RC1.o va" but t he error message:

Unable to acces file:OncommandUnifiedManager.6.1RC1.dsk1-vmdk

This happens also with OPM.

Could it be an issue of the datastore?

But can deploy normal VMs and still VMs are running on that datastore.

Found on other places:

https://www.google.de/search?q=ova+%22Unable+to+access+file%22+vmdk+vmware&client=firefox-beta&rls=org.mozilla:de:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&sa=X...

The vSphere host has root access to the Datastore—This is typically done on NFS servers using the no_root_squash option in the /etc/exports file. If you do not grant root access, you might still be able to mount the NFS datastore on the vSphere host. However, you will not be able to create any virtual machines on the datastore. It will fail with an unable to access file error message.

Best wishes,

Markus.

Hi Markus,

Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of the error and the datastore view (configuration-->storage) in which you are trying to deploy the OVA file.

>Could it be an issue of the datastore?

Yes it looks like a datastore issue to me.
