Operations Manager OS support

I have a customer asking me when OpsMgr will be supported running on an OEL Guest with VMware.  OEL is a supported OS for running OpsMgr, but it is not supported within a VMware Guest OS.   Is there a technical reason for this not being supported, or was the VMware Guest OS just not tested with OEL?

I think its more than the technical reason, its wasn’t just tested.

Unsupported configuration aren’t supported by NGS. This is for your info.

Is support for running OpsMgr on OEL in a VMware Guest on the roadmap for support?

Support for OEL as vmware guest OS is on the roadmap for the next major release of Operations Manager.
