Performance Advisor: Odd display of disks - how to fix?

I recently worked with a customer's Performance Advisor where it showed an odd display when looking at the physical disks view.

The symptom is for a (apparently) random group of disks, it would list the disk, then a second entry for the disk where it appended _tmp_<some number>. See picture.

Two questions:

1. What causes this to happen?
2. How do we fix it?

Hi Phil,

     You are hitting bug 477754. This is fixed in upcoming release of 5.0.1 which is around the corner.
