Saving DB Backups to a UNC Path under Windows

Hi,

is ist possible to somehow tweak the folder to which the DB Backups are saved to be a networked UNC share?

If I try entering a UNC path directly in the OM Webgui it refuses to take that parameter. Only a local directory seems to work.

HI Bengt,

Before setting Database Backup Destination Directory to a CIFS share path,

you need to take care of the below steps

–Add a user having privileges on the CIFS share as an “administrator” on the DFM station.

–Set the DFM Server service “Log On as” user as the above user.

–Set the DFM Scheduler service “Log On as” user as the above user.

–Add this user to the DFM with GlobalFullControl role.
