Snapvault instead of QSM in protection Manager

HI,

I installed latest version of Ops Mgr (3.8) and NetApp Management Console (2.3) and i try to integrate SMO with Protection Manager (worked with previous releases).

What i try to do is to protect my Oracle Instance using SnapVault (with dedup enabled at the destination).

To do that:

     - I created a "provisioning" policy, storate type "Secondary" with availability properties that match a resource pool i proviously created and dedup enabled.

     - I created a "Protection" Policy with characteristics i wanted to protect my Oracle Instance (worked previously)

     - Using SMO, i modified my profile to be protected by the previously created Protection Policy => This created the Dataset in Protection Manager

What i now try to do (unsucessfuly) is to protect my dataset sith a Snapvault relationship (to have dedup activated after each snapvault update):

     - I modify the Dataset to use the "provisioning policy" previously created

When i remove "Snapmirror" licence on the secondary, it doesn't work

When i add Snapmirror licence, i always use a QSM relationship (i have the

dfm option pmQSMBackupPreferred set to No 
and all the following are false:
If the schedule specifies that the data is to be backed up more
frequently than once per hour <= false

If the source qtree contains a space in its name <= false

If the source data is an Open Systems directory <= false)

How to do to have a Snapvault relationship created ?

Can you give the output of "dfpm policy get <secondary_provisioning_policy>"

If there is a dedupe schedule set in the policy, QSM is used.

Deduplication schedules cannot be set on SnapVault destination volumes.

The deduplication schedule is tied to the SnapVault schedule (backup schedule in protection policy) on the destination system.

Can you change the schedule attribute on your provisioning policy.

dfpm policy set <secondary_provisioning_policy> dedupeSchedule="none"

After that, retry the relationship creation and check if SV relationships are created when the dataset is conformed.
