Hi,

In terms of the timestamp on performance counters, do they match timestamp on the DFM servers or the timestamp of the filers it's collecting the performance from?

IIRC yes, they would be different.

The timestamp, shows the time on which the NMC is running.

Just to confirm, the time displayed in Performance Advisor is based off the time the NMC host server is associated with?

My customer is asking for clarification because they have a DFM server in London with NMC access globally.  So if the NMC is viewed in New York (EST) and London (GMT) simultanouesly on two different clients, would the timestamp be different for each?

ie - A performance issue viewed on a DFM server in london at 5pm GMT, on the NYC NMC client it would show it occured 12pm EST?

Hi,

Adding to Adai's point - The performance views in NMC would match the time zone of your local desktop - but it is exactly in-sync with the DFM server's time. Check out my screenshot.

Thanks and regards

One last follow on question, what about when viewing the information from the CLI?

If a dfm server is collecting performance data from filers in multiple regions, it would seem that the timestamp via the CLI always follow the time zone of the dfm server.

Thanks!

Yes,All info stored as per the time zone of the dfm server and not as per the timezone of the filer from which it is collected.
