hi

trying to add netapp filers after head swap to DFM again.

Try'd script and GUI interactive seems to hung.

NDMP Status and NDMP Credentials displayed as "Unknown"

seems that these are not changeable.

DFM Version is 5.2 running on Linux

dfm host diag stays and never timeout after NDMP Ping

never timeout.

Using the "Diagnose" wizard in the NMC under the Hosts tab you will be able to update the NMDP credentials.

However, if port 10000 is being blocked between the UM server and the new controllers then NDMP is going to timeout.

Did you follow this step as part of head swap ?

I did not follow the instruction.

first I delete all old hosts

# dfm host list -a

checked the "deleted" flag

stop DFM with #dfm service stop

# dfm service start sql

# dfm host delete -f <hsot id>

check with # dfm host list -a

check that hosts are deleted

startup dfm again

try to add new hosts
