Cloud Volumes ONTAP

Cloud Volume ONTAP for AWS - Antivirus strategy

We are using cloud volume ONTAP for AWS. There are many CIFS and NIS shares mounted on various Linux and Windows Virtual machines. There are shares which are available in multiple VMs. Hence the antivirus scanning is happening on all the virtual machines for the same share. Is there a better way to manage scanning? Also is there a best practice document available to follow for ONTAP for AWS implementation.

There's no practical difference between FAS and CVO when it comes to AV scanning, as far as I know.

You can centralize AV scanning as per each AV vendor's KB articles, and reference existing NetApp TRs such as https://www.netapp.com/us/media/tr-4286.pdf and https://www.netapp.com/us/media/tr-4304.pdf.
