How to convert LUN(SAN Block data) to files(NFS)?

Hello guys 🙂

 

I'm glad to write the post. and I'm newbie storage enginner. (i worked only 9months!!)

 

Anyway, I have few question. How to convert SAN Block data to NFS files?

 

Should i use NetAppXCP? or SnapCenter? or SnapMirror? or Unified Manager Migration Utility for OnCommand Unified Manager?

 

or where can i find this situation's files? anyone give me the link plz! thanks 🙂

Are you trying to move from something like a windows server to NetApp native NAS?   if so yes,   XCP or other tool will need to be used,  there's no "conversion" mechanism.

I mean if i have two volumes like this example

 

3tb vol1(san/fc)

3tb(empty) vol2(nas/nfs)

 

than and i want to move files from 3tb vol1(fc) to empty vol2(nfs).

 

in this situation should i use NetApp XCP?

yes, has to be copied out.   What's the lun mapped to?
