Is SnapManger for Oracle Supported on VMware virtual machine

We have vmware host and Oracle is running on it. Will SMO support this environment?

Also, based on Interoperability Matrix Tool (http://mysupport.netapp.com/matrix/enduser/displayResults.do;jsessionid=E942E8B925F390FDB6E5A47DEE95BFC4?skinnyResult=false&narrowTree=false#), the SMO has to be installed on Oracle Linux. Is that true, Will REDHAT be alright as well?
