NDMP backup on Nas

Hi Gents,

Can we run a NDMP backup on controller A, and perform a takeover on conroller B without outage?

When I tested, the Backup failed during takeover (tape alias are same on both controller)

Hi,

     I have never seen a backup transition during a failover, the backup should be able to be run once the failover is complete on the partner head.  We had backups running on over 50 clusters using Netbackup.

I concur...all backups fail when the node fails...but they can be started as long as they finish before giveback..
